Steel Forests becomes more real by the day.
Once upon a time, I imagined four books: the Scavenger’s Survival Guide (Player), Referee Handbook, Monster Manual (it would’ve had a better name), and some kind of starting adventure.
But, my producer (myself) said, “Buddy, quit dreaming. One book. A5 digest. Less than 400 pages. Fit it all in. Let’s ship it before the sun goes out.”
I hate that guy, but he has a point.
So, one book. Part of that one book is still having some semblance of a built-in module. I think that a TTRPG without starting content is like selling someone a disc labeled Gears of War that contains only a .exe of Unreal Engine. Unfortunately, that means putting my money where my mouth is.
A big part of that starting module is delves. Dungeons! Places primarily bent towards violence. Here’s the first complete one (a rough draft). If you’re reading this, consider it a reward for early adopters.
Now, obviously there’s a lot in here that doesn’t make sense without the rest of the book. Apologies! But I believe one can appreciate a good dungeon even lacking the context of system. Plus, this is pretty bog standard dungeon nonsense. Enjoy!
